1. You are correct, I am funny. But I thought we agreed that you weren't going to talk about my looks. Yes I have a very small laptop. But that's only because my funny body has no lap.

2. I do ask a lot of questions. It's an occupational hazard. But I don't like standing to watch movies. I only do that when I'm writing a feature article about one of the filmmakers. Then I stand and watch the filmmaker instead of the movie. That way, I can find creative and interesting insights to share with my readers--for instance, I once saw a father take his fist and give a compassionate backrub to a nervous filmmaker when his movie was about to be screened. I don't recall when that happened, but I know I put it into my review. It's the kind of searing insight I provide my readers that make my articles interesting. But I would hate to have been that filmmaker being stared at by me the entire time my movie was playing. Creepy.

3. Yes, blogging at the FFF is an awesome job...wait a minute...job? People get paid for doing this? Jordana Meade told me the Enzian does not pay. I've been blogging for two years and have never gotten paid. Well, except that one lady who gave me a free ticket. But I always thought that was because I was funny looking and had a small laptop.

I'm sorry you had no wireless internet at your hotel this trip. Next time you come, find a better place to stay. For example, I know a great company where you can rent an entire home with a fully equipped kitchen, living room, washer & dryer--even a private pool--for less than a hotel. Only problem is that the owner of this vacation rental home company is a creepy, funny looking guy who hangs out at movie theatres staring at filmmakers. And he has a small laptop. Maybe you'd be better off just finding another hotel.

If you do catch me again, be sure to let me know. If you don't catch me, we can always share stories at LanceAroundOrlando.

The first night I arrived in Florida I ate an alligator. It was fried and covered in local honey. Five days later I'm still here. Despite no wireless Internet at the hotels this trip has been remarkable.

It's difficult writing this on my telephone but I'd like to note a few observations about Mr. LanceAround and his one-man band posse.

1. Lance is very funny and has a very small laptop.
2. He asks many questions and he likes to stand when he watches movies.
3. He and his sidekick are always at the cinema or driving filmmakers from the cinema to another cinema. They basically watch movies all day and casually write about them. It's an awesome job.

It's been a real privilege meeting the filmmakers, volunteers, programmers, fans, patrons, and press of the 20th Florida Film Festival. I've especially enjoyed my interactions with Mr. LanceAround and hopefully I can catch him again before I go & share some more stories.

It's 10:01 PM in Florida and I'm looking at a swamp filled with wonderful swamp trees. I'm thinking when I get back to California I'm really gonna miss these giant Floridian swamp trees. Big giant swamp trees and fried alligators. This is a great festival.
